Where the Inspiration for Peaceful Ocean Came From. Olyantis Peaceful Ocean Eau de Parfum is inspired by a unique Canadian West Coastal habitat, located at the convergence of the forest, ocean and mountains.

One sunny summer day, during a stroll along the Stanley Park Seawall in Vancouver, I felt as one with the nature, the peace of the Pacific Ocean, quietness of the ancient, majestic cedarwood trees enveloped in the blue sky. The sounds of the busy city were far away. Waves gentle caressed the coastal shore. The sound of their rhythmic, perpetual dance flowed harmoniously into the gentle whisper of the nearby giant trees, counterpointed by the capricious airy breeze, in an unexpected, quiet symphony of sounds, light and green, fresh, salty scents. Between ocean, forest and the Gross Mountain, surrounded by the warm light, you could breathe in harmony with the nature, at peace. All as one.

About the Canadian Pacific Ocean and the West Cost Rainforest. The interconnectedness between the land and the three oceans that border Canada, the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans, is part of our identity.

Stanley Park National Historic Site of Canada, the largest urban park of North America that borders Vancouver’s downtown, is almost completely surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. In its temperate rainforest, nothing compares to the size and majesty of the ancient, native western cedarwood trees. The 1,000-year-old or older than that of these Trees of Life, as many First Nations of the Pacific Northwest call them, can reach up to 7 m in diameter and 70 m height. This is how impressive, unforgettable these ancient trees can be.

In a pocket of Stanley Park, you can see fee dawn redwoods ornamental conifers planted decades ago. Although they are also tall (up to 30-50 meters in height), they cannot compete with the imposing, massive ancient forest.

How We Captured the Pacific Ocean’s Essence. To capture the essence of oceanic breeze using only natural essential oils is one of the greatest challenges in natural perfumery. This is why many popular aquatic formulations contain predominantly synthetic materials.

We carefully balanced fresh (top notes), salty/mineral (base/middle notes) and earthy green scents (middle/base notes) to reconstruct through fragrances this unique coastal habitat. After multiple iterations, using 94.5% of natural origin essential oils (by ISO 16128) in the perfume concentrate, diluted in 99.8% natural alcohol, we were able to create the version that we feel captured the spirit of our pristine Canadian Pacific Ocean.
